Why You Should Sell Stickers On Redbubble

If you want to get started making money on print-on-demand sites such as RedBubble, Etsy, and Teepublic, then creating simple sticker designs is the best way to start and scale this side hustle.

Why am I saying this? Simply because I have experienced firsthand, the power of stickers in boosting my earnings throughout the last three years as a casual seller on Redbubble.

As of today, 75% of my revenue on the platform is primarily simple text-based sticker designs that took me 2–3 minutes to design.

For this reason, you might assume that I have primarily designed stickers but the truth is the majority of my portfolio of 400+ unique designs ranges from tapestries, T-shirts, mugs, and wall clocks.

Yet the 80–20 rule truly makes sense in this context, as only 20% of my designs (black and white text stickers) are selling yet the 80% make casual sales every few weeks.

Why Selling Stickers Will Boost Your Earnings
I could sit here and talk for hours about why you should never underestimate the power of these little beauties, yet I’ll simplify it into three points:

Stickers are easy to create
Stickers are easily customizable to any niche
Stickers are more affordable, encouraging buyers to purchase bundles all at once because of price affordability.
For the above reasons, they are easily scalable.

How I Sell Stickers
This is only applicable to Redbubble, although I have seen the most success on that platform, yet feel free to try it out on Etsy, Teepublic, Teespring, and Zazzle.
I use Canva to design stickers and Creative Fabrica to find winning sticker designs. Please make sure you change the original designs by adding your own touch and elements to make them your own.
In Canva I use the maximum size of 5000pixels x 5000 pixels to design my stickers, which includes larger stickers as well as bundle sticker packs.
The key here is giving it a few months to start generating sales and once you start seeing a few sales from different niches, take a look at what they all have in common.

Filter according to bestsellers and double down on what is working.

Make a plan to scale and create multiple designs from your bestselling niche.

Don’t stop right there, you only did 35% of the work.

Step up your game and take marketing into your own hands. Utilize the social media platforms you are most active on and build a brand around your designs.

Promote your stickers using reels, stories, and product mockups you can easily find and design on Canva.

Rinse and repeat.

Individual Stickers vs. Sticker packs
I have seen success from both sticker packs and individual stickers, which come in bigger sizes.

Providing a sticker pack will surely help your sales as it gives customers a better bargain as they purchase multiple sticker designs for one price.

I also make sales from individual bigger stickers as many customers prefer to get one single design that covers a larger space.

My next step is to step up and create sticker packs from my bestselling stickers and provide customers the option to purchase smaller sets of their favorite designs.
