And why you actually need it

In recent years, I have relaxed a lot without going to school or work, developing a habit that kills productivity, which is probably familiar to many freelancers.

In simple words, it can be called something like this.

“Um, I don’t know what day it is, probably Saturday, oh Monday, well, right, Sunday!”

Sound familiar?

Haha!

So here’s why this habit kills productivity and how I’m trying to combat it.
One of the challenges of modern blogging and freelancing is the ever-increasing competition.

The blogging community has long known that there are best and worst days of the week and times of day for publishing blog posts. They are directly related to the time when most of our followers visit our site or check their emails.

Choosing the right day and time doesn’t guarantee super success, but it can increase the likelihood of it many times over and speed up your progress.

The reason for this is ridiculously simple. All other things being equal, good timing of your posting gives you a competitive edge. Not taking this competitive advantage these days is extremely counterproductive!

There are two main ways to post at the right time
1. Article Scheduler for a specific date and time

This way, I will know for sure that my article will be published at the optimal time for maximum story visibility for readers. On your personal site, you can do this without a problem through the text editor.

If you publish your blogs on Medium, you also have this option, but only with self-publishing.

Fortunately, some publications allow authors to choose the date and time when a story should be published by emailing them directly. For example, In Fitness And In Health pub provides this opportunity.

2. The second way is brilliantly simple!

All You have to do is …….

Well, to look at the calendar and the clock!

Ta-daaam!

By failing this simple step, I published my first article on Medium on the worst possible day!

I’m a “genius! “

Fortunately, it wasn’t as bad as I expected!

The best day and time to post your blogs on Medium
As the more experienced Medium writers tell us, the “hottest” days are working weekdays (from Monday to Friday).

Monday and Tuesday are especially good in this regard.

The best times are 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. CET.

Short posts that can be read in one breath are especially good for morning and lunchtime.

It is also worth noting that there are Medium publications that take several days or even weeks to review submissions. They may also publish at times that are inconvenient for you.

Some publications, such as Illumination, often publish stories within a few hours.

Still, I think it makes sense to submit a draft earlier than 9 a.m. since most stories are actively promoted by an algorithm for no longer than 24 hours.

That’s why it’s important to get it done in time. The main thing is to make sure that readers can already read your story no later than 9 a.m.

In my next story, I’ll share with you how many views my first Medium story got, which is also my first article published online!
